Equity and Diversity promotes and supports UWA's vision to provide an equitable and inclusive environment for all staff, students, and the broader community we engage with. We advocate and work for a university community that is aware and informed, tolerant of diversity, and intellectually and emotionally comfortable with difference. We support staff and students in the development of cultural competence, a core stated element of the UWA Educational Principles. UWA aims to create a vibrant and positive environment by encouraging staff to practice the broad values of respect, diversity, inclusiveness and fairness in all professional and personal interactions.

Equity and Diversity are an integral part of Inclusive Campus Culture strategy that aims to raise awareness of University values.

Equity and Diversity advocates and works on policies and procedures that create a positive and fair environment for all staff and students at the University.
